Manly Foot Clinic

Local podiatry

Podiatrist serving Dee Why.

Manly Foot Clinic is at Shop 3/3 Corrie Rd, North Manly, NSW, about eight minutes south of Dee Why along Pittwater Road. The clinic has treated Northern Beaches feet since 1989, with a surgical podiatrist, injection therapy and 3D-scanned orthoses all on site.

Foot and Ankle Care for Dee Why

Dee Why is the largest suburb on the Northern Beaches, with a 2021 census population of 23,354, and one of the most densely populated. It has no surgical podiatrist of its own. Manly Foot Clinic in North Manly is the nearest clinic south along Pittwater Road where assessment, orthoses, injection therapy and surgery are all delivered under one roof, so a Dee Why patient is not referred across Sydney for the next step.

An active suburb, on sand and grass

Dee Why is built around its beach and lagoon. Dee Why Surf Life Saving Club has patrolled the beach since 1912 and now has more than a thousand members across Nippers, juniors, seniors and masters. Dee Why Lions Rugby, founded in 1960, runs cubs, minis and juniors out of James Morgan Reserve in Cromer. Dee Why FC dates from 1946 and is the oldest club in the Manly Warringah Football Association, and Cromer Park across the lagoon is the home ground of Manly United. Netball runs through Cromer Netball Club in the Manly Warringah competition at John Fisher Park.

That is a lot of young feet in football boots, netball shoes and bare on wet sand, and a lot of adults running the Long Reef to Dee Why coastal walk or the lagoon loop. The clinic’s sports injury assessment, children’s podiatry and ingrown toenail surgery are the services Dee Why families most often ask about, and all three are described on this site.

The landmarks you pass on the way

From the Dee Why town centre and the Dee Why B-Line stop on Pittwater Road, head south. Dee Why Lagoon Reserve sits to your left, 77 hectares declared a wildlife refuge in 1974, with Long Reef headland and the state’s first aquatic reserve beyond it. Stony Range Regional Botanic Garden is on your right at the southern edge of the suburb. Pittwater Road then carries you through Brookvale, past Warringah Mall and Brookvale Oval, into North Manly. Corrie Road is a side street off Pittwater Road, and the clinic is at Shop 3, number 3. If you reach Nolan Reserve, about six hundred metres further on, you have gone too far.

No, you can book directly without a referral. If you’d like, we’ll send a short report to your GP after your appointment so your foot care stays part of your overall health record. If your appointment is through a Medicare care plan, DVA or another funded program, you will need a referral, so check with us when you book.

Yes. Our podiatrists see children of all ages, from toddlers who are learning to walk through to teenagers in competitive sport. Children’s appointments usually include a look at how they walk and run, muscle strength and flexibility testing, and footwear advice. Where it’s needed, treatment may include an exercise program or, in some cases, splinting or orthoses.

If your policy includes podiatry, yes. All major private health funds recognise the clinic, and podiatry is covered under extras rather than hospital cover. How much you get back depends on your level of extras and how much of your annual limit you’ve already used. Bring your health fund card and we can process your claim on the spot, so you only pay the gap. For an exact figure, ask your fund for the rebate on the specific service before your appointment. We can give you the item number to quote.
