What Is Plantar Wart Surgery?
Both are treated here in the clinic under local anaesthetic, with no hospital stay needed. At the Manly Foot Clinic we utilise various treatments for plantar warts, including surgical excision. This can be carried out in our premises under local anaesthetic.
Who It Helps
Surgery suits a plantar wart that hasn’t responded to other treatment. A wart that is painful, spreading or long-standing is worth assessing, and your podiatrist will advise whether treating, watching or removing it is the better course.
What to Expect
The procedure is usually completed in a single visit.
Assessment first
Your podiatrist examines the lesion and distinguishes it from a corn or callus, which look similar and are managed differently.
